Polycon cornices are relatively easy to install as they are lightweight and require no screws or nails. They are simply fixed by means of water based acrylic adhesive. As this product is easy to cut with a fine tooth hacksaw, the result is perfectly crisp corners.

As a guideline, a medium sized 2m long cornice would require between 50 and 100ml of glue depending on the straightness and finish of the wall. Larger cornices may require between 100 and 200ml. Cuts or bad dents can simply be filled with adhesive.

Painting - The product can be painted with acrylic based paint (PVA). Please note that solvent paints are to be avoided.

Polystyrene cornices have become the preferred alternative to the plaster products which are heavy, can break easily if mishandled, labour intensive to install and of course are not waterproof so will damage if any moisture gets to the products.
